Feast of St. James the Apostle
On Friday, July 25 we will celebrate the feast of St. James the Apostle at 6:00 PM with a service of Holy Communion (with hymns). A festal potluck will immediately follow. Please bring a dish to pass if you are able.
The Collect for St. James:
Grant, O merciful God, that, as thine holy Apostle Saint James, leaving his father and all that he had, without delay was obedient unto the calling of thy Son Jesus Christ, and followed him; so we, forsaking all worldly and carnal affections, may be evermore ready to follow thy holy commandments; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Feast of the Transfiguration - August 10:
We will celebrate our parish feast of title on Sunday, August 10 with Holy Communion and a parish pot-luck reception immediately following the service at the rectory. For the reception, the parish will provide a deli sandwich platter and drinks. Please bring a dish to share if you are able (if not, please come anyway). Please mark your calendars for this wonderful day of parish celebration.
Episcopal Visit:
Bishop Hewett will be visiting our parish on Sunday, September 21 for an episcopal visit. Please plan on staying after the service for a potluck reception to visit with our bishop.
Diocesan Synod:
The Anglican Catholic Church will hold its Provincial Synod from October 15-17 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Charleston, SC. Our Diocesan Synod will be held concurrently. Official voting delegates were elected at our annual parish meeting earlier this year, but both synods are open to all who would like to register and attend as observers.
Special meetings of the College of Bishops and Trustees will be held on October 13-14, with the regular synod opening on the morning of Wednesday, October 15. More information and a tentative schedule can be found HERE. Please note that our diocesan synod has yet to be added to this draft schedule.
A special room rate is available to those who register by September 22 using the group code: ACC 2025 Synods.
Registration for the Synod is $220 for delegates, alternates and observers. A synod banquet will be held on October 16, the cost of which is included in the registration fee. Those wishing to attend the banquet only may do so for $95/person. You may register online.
As the latest issue of the
Trinitarian (July-August) highlighted, the primary order of business is the union of the Anglican Church in American into the Anglican Catholic Church.
